Description Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to advance your career? Our client in Ledyard, CT, is seeking a talented and ambitious Staff Accountant to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. + Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting. + Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial statements. + Analyze and maintain general ledger accounts while ensuring data integrity. + Collaborate with other departments to provide accounting support and insights. + Support accounts payable and receivable processing, including troubleshooting discrepancies. + Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors. Requirements + xperience: A minimum of 2-4 years of general accounting or staff accounting experience. +
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. + Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms). + Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. + Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. + Knowledge of GAAP principles is a plus.
