Accounting Associate StoneRidge Senior Living Community Mystic, CT Position:
Accounting Associate Shift:
8am-4:30pm
Monday-Friday Starting Pay :
$23-$26 per hour based on degrees and experience

Daily Pay (Optional) Annual Raise (Based on Performance Review) Annual Bonus (Based on hours worked, $1,750 for FT employee in 2024) College Scholarships for Staff + Dependents Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Available Generous PTO and Sick Time Paid Holidays Off x1.5 pay for Holidays worked 401(k) with company match Employer Paid Life insurance AD&D insurance Long-term & Short Term disability insurance HSA/FSA Account Options Employee Assistance + Discount Programs Qualifications Able to reliably commute to Mystic, CT 2 year Degree in Business with a minor in accounting required Professional work experience in Accounting highly preferred Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required Demonstrated ability to curate clearly worded and grammatically correct emails, providing prompt electronic responses and/or updates to staff, vendors, directors, and corporate employees Able to work autonomously Familiarity with operating statements, balance sheets, and basic accounting processes (preparing reports, running periodic audits, utilizing various formulas and calculations) is required Previous experience with Oracle and UKG is a plus Proven ability to resolve complex problems and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Able to sustain a high level of accuracy while maintaining attention to detail Must be highly organized, and equally effective working independently and as part of a dynamic accounting team
Essential Job Duties:
Generating accounts payable checks to manage all vendor accounts Compiling and imputing data into the the appropriate platforms to maintain accounts payable Oracle program Calculating CT sales tax to transmit payments Utilizing knowledge of chart accounts, operating statements and balance sheet reconciliation to keep departmental accuracy Processing bi-weekly payroll, creating and maintaining Community Maintenance spreadsheet, reviewing UKG Timecards, and offering payroll support as needed Reviewing expense accounts and operating statements for accuracy
