Corporate Accountant
Stamford, CT Job Description Summary of Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for the general ledger.
Own key components of the monthly close process, including workbooks, schedules, and financial statement preparation.
Analyze subsidiary financials, including month-over-month trends and budget vs. actual variances.
Provide financial reporting and insights to internal stakeholders.
Manage the Accounts Payable platform (Airbase), including vendor relationships and invoice processing.
Support the implementation and administration of a new procurement tool.
Oversee the vendor onboarding process and ensure accurate coding and approval of all invoices.
Administer company credit card programs (Divvy/Rippling) and review transactions for accurate GL and departmental coding.
Enforce and manage the T&E policy; review employee expense reports for compliance.
Monitor and respond to the A/P inbox, ensuring timely routing of invoices and vendor communication.
Coordinate the preparation, review, and filing of 1099s.
Provide occasional support to the Accounts Receivable team, including billing assistance.
Take on ad hoc projects to support finance and business operations as needed.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of work efficiently.
Proactive, execution-focused, and highly collaborative.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
CPA preferred.
3-4 years of accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and SaaS industry exposure.
Experience with ASC 606 is required; M&A experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.
Ability to learn and navigate multiple accounting and finance platforms.
