Senior Staff Accountant Position Available In Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut

Job Description:

Senior Staff Accountant CFS is partnering with an the Investmentside of a Management Company which focuses on the operations andadministration of the firm’s interests in its managed funds, islooking for a Staff/ Senior Accountant level with 3-5 years ofexperience. This role is similar to a fund accountant in that itwill work with partnership accounting aspects and allocations toemployees of the general partnership vehicles.

KeyResponsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for theGP and home team entities. Assist in the maintenance of cashmovements across and through various level of the partnershipstructure. Track and maintain bank account listings and assist inthe opening and closing of accounts. Support the month-end andquarter-end close processes. Assist in maintaining accountingrecords for GP entities, ensuring accurate tracking of equity andcarried interest. Track and prepare capital contributions anddistributions allocations for Partnership Accounting. Track,maintain, and report on the GP entities cash flows on a GP to Fundlevel and GP to Partner level. Assist with audits by gatheringdocumentation and supporting schedules. Assist with tax and K-1preparation for our Partners by working with our tax team. Supportwith ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Requirements include : BS in Accounting 3 – 5 years accountingexperience, financial reporting and general ledger; real estateindustry experience a plus Big 4 experience preferred Strongunderstanding of Accounting systems/Yardi experience a plus
