Job Description:

Accountant Staff Senior A manufacturing company located inCentral New Jersey is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountantto support the growth of its operations.

General Purpose:

As theaccountant, you will maintain accurate financial reporting for themonth-end and year-end closing process. This role will work closelywith the finance team to ensure compliance with accountingstandards, manage general ledger entries, and provide analysis andinsights to support business decisions. This position will haveexposure to all operational groups within the company.

SpecificResponsibilities:

Prepare detailed financial reports and varianceanalysis. Provide insights on economic performance to management.

Preparing monthly bank reconciliations. Post journal entries,accruals, and adjustments to the ledger Oversee accounts payableand accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate recording andtimely payments/collections. Manage and analyze cost accountingdata, including inventory valuation, production costs, and overheadanalysis, to optimize financial performance. Work with themanufacturing team to identify cost-saving opportunities andimprovements. Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset anddepreciation schedules. Other duties and projects as required

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting desired 5years of experience and proficiency with computerized accountingsystems

Key Competencies:

Strong understanding of US GAAP,accounting theory, and month-end close procedures. Experience withcost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis inmanufacturing. Excellent attention to detail with the ability tomanage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectivelyacross departments.
