Accountant Housing Authority of Brevard County 1401 Guava Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32935 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and financial management, with expertise in accounts payable and regulatory reporting. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals. Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide insights for corporate finance initiatives. Utilize Excel for advanced data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting preferred. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial management principles. Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis. General Ledger experience including entry and analysis. Bank Reconciliations experience.
