Ascendo Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its corporate accounting functions. This role includes maintaining general ledger accuracy, managing asset and lease accounting, preparing journal entries, and supporting financial reporting in alignment with US GAAP.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain lease accounting schedules and related entries in accordance with ASC 842 Manage warranty-related accounting, including accruals, reconciliations, and collaboration with internal departments Oversee fixed asset processes, including budgeting, forecasting, capitalization, depreciation, and reporting Support preparation of monthly internal financials and semiannual consolidation reporting packages Perform monthly bank reconciliations Prepare and manage month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for central operations Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure proper clearing during close cycles Operate within an internal control framework, ensuring compliance with key accounting controls
Secondary Responsibilities:
Support initiatives to automate and streamline financial processes with a focus on IT collaboration
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Experience using ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills Corporate accounting experience Fixed assets accounting experience
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement initiatives
