Accounting Full Job Description SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for agency-level accounting functions, including, but not limited to general accounting, payables & receivables, financial reporting, spend analysis, material & labor variance analysis, billing & invoicing, and forecasting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial responsibilities include General Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Invoicing, Revenue Distribution, and Financial Reporting. Ensure all defined work is performed within the timeframes allotted for each functional financial process. Ensure all billing functions including invoicing, revenue distribution, and rating are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives at the Plant level. Manage all accounting, bookkeeping, and financial matters. Any other duties as assigned by the Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance preferred. Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures. Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
