Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in financial software. Duties Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Conduct financial report writing to provide insights into financial performance. Oversee technical accounting tasks, including compliance with Securities law and SOX regulations. Utilize QuickBooks and Quicken for bookkeeping and financial management. Collaborate with public accounting firms for audits and reviews. Know debits and credits and GAAP understanding. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide strategic planning. Skills Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Quicken is essential. Familiarity with securities law and SOX compliance is a plus. Excellent financial report writing skills to communicate findings effectively. Experience in the financial services sector is desirable. Ability to manage accounts receivable efficiently. Strong technical accounting skills to navigate complex financial issues. Previous experience in public accounting is advantageous.
