Our clients are small businesses and their owners. We are expanding our business and wish to hire an experienced Senior Accountant to work in our office in the next 30 days . It is important that you have expertise in BOTH managing people effectively, and , managing the daily flow of business in a full-service accounting office. The individual we are seeking must also be someone with at least 4+ years experience in the following areas: financial statement preparation, G/L, bank reconciliation and AR/AP. Very important — must have some recent experience training others on the use of QuickBooks as our clients frequently need assistance in this area. We also require some degree of actual business acumen in your background, and some experience managing the work output of others as you will manage the daily activities and workflow of personnel engaged in accounting and sales activity. If you are experienced in other areas of accounting (i.e. audit, internal controls, etc.), that’s a plus — please let us know that when you respond. Proficiency with Drake (1040) and/or Lacerte (Business) professional tax software is also a plus. Candidates for this position must be diligent, articulate, present well, be ambitious, be reliable, willing to pitch in during high-volume periods (i.e. tax season) and a team player. You must be self-directed, able to work without supervision, and, be able to deal with ambiguous situations occasionally.
