The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to work effectively within a team to maintain efficient accounts payable operations. Responsibilities Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including cash flow analysis and budget forecasts. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely payments and address any payment-related inquiries. Utilize double entry bookkeeping methods to maintain accurate financial records. Stay updated on GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant financial regulations. Support the finance team in various tasks related to corporate finance and governmental accounting as needed. Qualifications Proficiency in financial concepts, including debits, credits, and cash flow analysis. Familiarity with GAAP standards and their application in accounts payable processes. Experience with double entry bookkeeping is preferred. Knowledge of private equity principles is a plus. Strong analytical skills for financial report interpretation. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. Prior experience in an accounts payable or similar role is advantageous.
