In addition to managing luxury superyachts, we proudly own and operate a busy boatyard specializing in repairs, maintenance, and refits. As our operations expand, we are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to oversee Accounts Payable (A/P) for the boatyard and manage financial reporting and reconciliations for superyacht clients . Position Summary The Staff Accountant will have a dual focus: Managing full-cycle A/P activities for the company’s boatyard operations , ensuring accurate vendor payments and expense tracking. Handling financial management and reporting for a portfolio of managed superyachts , including bank reconciliations, owner reporting, and budget monitoring. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about the maritime industry. Key Responsibilities Boatyard Accounts Payable Process, review, and manage high-volume A/P transactions for boatyard operations. Verify, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately. Prepare and schedule vendor payments ensuring adherence to payment terms. Maintain up-to-date vendor files, including W-9s and insurance certificates. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies promptly. Support internal cost-tracking for boatyard projects and refits. Superyacht Financial Management Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations for yacht owner operating accounts and escrow accounts. Prepare customized financial reports for yacht owners, captains, and managers, including cash flow statements, budget vs. actual reports, and account summaries. Track operational expenditures (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) for assigned vessels. Collaborate with captains and project managers on budget adherence and expense approvals. Support financial audits, owner inquiries, and regulatory compliance efforts related to yacht financial management. Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive financial data.
