Job Description

Financial Reporting Accountant Segrera Associates Fort Lauderdale, FL 33318 Segrera Associates is working with a financial services organization that is looking to hire a financial reporting accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting management reporting, SEC reporting, governmental reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and asset/liability and liquidity reporting. In addition, financial reporting accountant will be essential in maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting the overall accounting, reporting and analysis operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support banking-related reporting processes, including Form10-K, Form 10-Q filings and regulatory reports such as Call Report, Y9SP and FR-Y6, and other regulatory requirements. Support in the preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts and variance analysis. Compile various reports for the asset liability committee. Prepare liquidity monitoring reports. Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and record intercompany journal entries and maintain intercompany account balances. Manage and execute normal end-of-month journal entries, including accruals and adjustments. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data. Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support management in completing special projects, ad hoc reporting, and analysis requests

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA preferred, 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or banking environment (public/private mix preferred) Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Ability to prepare reports in excel and powerpoint. Proficiency in reconciliation, intercompany accounting, and journal entry preparation. Familiarity with banking operations and regulatory reporting is highly desirable. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

$80,463.00 – $89,249.00 per year
