The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts, with proficiency in various accounting software, including Xero. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organization and will involve managing accounts receivable, preparing tax documents, and ensuring compliance with governmental accounting standards. Duties Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. Oversee accounts receivable/payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Prepare financial statements and reports to provide insights into the organization’s financial status. Handle related tax filings in compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring adherence to debits and credits principles. Assist in preparing for audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required. Stay updated on governmental accounting regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance. Collaborate with other departments such as sales, inventory, and operations to ensure financial data integrity across systems. Qualifications Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with 5+ years experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial concepts, and technical accounting practices. Experience with Acumatica or similar ERP/accounting software is required. Familiarity with accounts receivable management and payroll processing. Understanding of governmental accounting practices is preferred but not required. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
