Job Description
Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a long-term contract position within the dynamic Real Estate and Property industry. The ideal candidate will manage financial tasks for a large-scale construction project, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into project performance.
- Manage purchase orders and perform three-way matching to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the procurement process, including purchasing materials and managing inventory.
- Support administrative functions, including front desk responsibilities, while prioritizing project tasks.
- Track project progress to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Collaborate with team members to address challenges and maintain effective communication.
- Utilize analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Visit project sites on a monthly basis to monitor and report on project developments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on project or construction-related roles.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Deltek, Costpoint, or similar systems.
- Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial auditing.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.
- Experience in administrative support or office management is a plus.
- Background in construction or real estate is highly desirable but not required.
