Senior Project Accountant Position Available In Broward, Florida

Project Accountant – Construction Development- Hybrid role! Our client is an established leader in Construction and Development with a reputation of bringing beautiful projects to life for more than 25 years. This is an in office role as part of a terrific culture with exceptional employee retention. In this role created by internal growth you will work with the senior Controller and CFO as Senior Project Accountant. Duties and Responsibilities Construction Project accounting experience is a must payment application process, AIA billing, release of liens, draws to owners, accounts payable and receivable, monthly closing and balance sheets, subcontractor insurance and agreements, vendor payments and monthly bank reconciliation. Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances Preparing financial statements Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules Supervising accounting staff Requirements and Qualifications 4+ years’ of professional accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience is preferred CPA preferred Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Industry Real Estate Employment Type Full-time Job Functions Accounting/Auditing Skills Bank Reconciliation Financial Statements Analytical Skills Budgeting & Forecasting General Ledgers Finance Budgeting Ledger Management Account Reconciliation Fixed Assets
