Job Description:
The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, tax returns and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for our clients. This role requires a high level of accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Statement Preparation:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for clients.
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
Client Accounting Services:
Provide bookkeeping and accounting services to clients, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Continuing Education:
Stay current with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry best practices. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the firm to provide comprehensive services to clients and contribute to the firm’s overall success.
Qualifications:
Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. At least 3 years’ experience as an accountant in an accounting firm or similar environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Thomson Reuters accounting and tax software (i.e. UltraTax CS, Accounting CS) is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. High level of integrity and professionalism.
