Jacksonville, FL Position Description You will serve as an
ACCOUNTANT
(STAFF) in the accounting div (HJ82), Comptroller dept (HJ8) of
FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze. Position Duties/Responsibilities
You will analyze accounting practices, principles, methods, or techniques in the area of industrial management within a Navy working capital fund (NWCF).
You will evaluate local accounting policies and procedures for accuracy and compliance with directives.
You will review Navy working capital fund (NWCF) financial data (e.g., accounting data and system summaries) to ensure that account balances meet project objectives.
You will reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts to ensure that data and reports are balanced.
