Finance Department:

Assisting in the preparation of the annual report and quarterly Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) filings (including build up and tie out of footnotes, management’s discussion and analysis, and review of XBRL tags), the annual financial statement audit, and the quarterly financial statement reviews by providing supporting schedules/explanations to the internal & external audit team.

Preparing both Canadian and U.S. benefit plan financial statements, including the Form 11-K filings with the SEC, and by analyzing the balance sheet and cash flow statement.

Researching and documenting proper accounting treatment and required disclosures under US GAAP, supporting the interim and annual disclosure checklist processes, and assisting with the adoption of new accounting standards.

You’ll be someone who can bring:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a CPA Strongly Preferred.7 or more years of SEC reporting experience.

Position demands up-to-date knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (and application of GAAP), financial reporting disclosure requirements and internal controls.

Working knowledge of Excel, Word and basic general ledger skills are required.

Requires strong analytical skills and highly developed communication skills and the ability to communicate with operating and financial managers at headquarters and in the field.

Generally accepted accounting principles, SEC reporting preferred and fully developed written/verbal communication skills.
