SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a professional, experienced, and effective analyst for our SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting function, with a proven history of accounting and finance success to join our team. In this role, you will assist with numerous functions related to financial reporting and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the preparation of Financial Statements to be included in quarterly/annual filings for 1st review, including research and preparation of required GAAP disclosures
Oversee the preparation of SEC Filings through cloud-based SEC reporting software (Wdesk) for 1st review, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 11-K, 4, Proxy and applicable Earnings Releases and 8-K filings in relation to financial reporting and compliance of the Company, including research and preparation of required SEC disclosures and compliance items
Oversee the research and maintenance of new guidance issued by applicable regulatory bodies and provide initial assessments on applicability to the Company (i.e.

Facilitate compliance reviews of SEC Documents including communication with internal counsel and SEC counsel
Assist with management of proxy and annual meeting process, including assisting in the management of timeline and coordination of deliverables requested internally and with other departments
Oversee the preparation, coordination and maintenance activities of the annual and quarterly SEC Reporting calendar and request lists Demonstrate ability to prioritize filings and projects in order to meet deadlines; ability to coordinate multiple aspects of financial reporting deliverables in a timely fashion
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the SEC Reporting Planner, as well as aligning the Planner with the overall SEC Reporting Calendar
Manage the review process for all filings, including overseeing version control, tracking of blacklines for each review group/individual and ensuring responses are appropriately provided and documented as needed
Assist in managing the SEC Reporting budget, including maintaining SEC Reporting vendor list, invoices, outstanding payables
Liaise with third party team at Workiva to facilitate filings, as applicable
Oversee preparation Technical Accounting memos and documentation in compliance with annual and quarterly SOX processes, as applicable, including, but not limited to: Segment Reporting, Related Parties, Goodwill Impairment, Going Concern Assumptions, Debt or Equity transactions, Inventory Impairment Analysis Other Significant or Unusual Transactions Oversee or assist in preparation of other quarterly controls around s Outstanding, Earnings Per , Preferred Dividends, Stock Compensation, Disclosure Checklist and Disclosure Committee meetings, tie-out procedures for SEC filed documents and press releases
Demonstrate an understanding of the basic guidance related to technical topics and quarterly controls topics and ensure understanding is current based on any new guidance issuances
Assist with Transactional Due Diligence, such as External Auditor Comfort Letters or Consents and other SEC compliance matters (when needed)
Assist with preparation of pro forma financial statements as needed in relation to potential acquisitions
Assist with monitoring and maintaining of, and reporting on, existing Corporate Governance Policies
Assist with Board of Directors and Committee quarterly and ad-hoc meeting materials and documentation as needed
Oversee maintenance of Board and Committee calendars, including blackout calendar
Assist in overseeing the Board management process using Diligent.
Assist with ESG platform development and reporting
Oversee director and officer trading process, including maintenance of the director and officer subledger and coordinating with outside counsel for related filings and compliance research
Oversee the preparation and continuous maintenance of documented SOPs for all responsibilities
Recommend process improvements and participate in/lead problem solving sessions and provide solutions as applicable
Oversee NYSE Affirmations process

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

College degree in Accounting and/or Finance, preferably Master’s level
3-4 years progressive experience in audit or with a public company in SEC reporting department or related department
Pursuit of Certified Public Accountant License preferred
Knowledge of financial reporting processes and filings Strong communication skills — both written and verbal Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to managers or directors
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and time management skills Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with Workiva’s Wdesk SEC Reporting Module preferred
Experience with XBRL tagging preferred
Homebuilding/Real Estate experience or exposure preferred
