Senior Accountant Position Available In Duval, Florida

ICX Group is seeking a Senior Accountant with for a well known company in Jacksonville. In this role, the Senior Accountant will be performing general ledger accounting, preparing financial accounts, monthly opening and closing of accounts and preparing balance sheets.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily P&L reporting Perform accounting and financial reporting functions including monthly journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations and variance analyses in accordance with generally accepted and statutory accounting principles Involved in daily system and ledger reconciliations and controls Provide support to various technical and analytical efforts including researching and analyzing financial statement variances as compared to prior periods to assist in management’s understanding of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements Prepare various reports and conduct ad hoc projects as required Assist in developing and maintaining uniform accounting policies and procedures Perform month end and period end GL close and monthly balance sheet substantiation Propose suggestions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of close process

Requirements:

2+ years of Public Accounting experience or 4+ years related Accounting experience Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance Strong knowledge of GAAP
