Summary/Objective Responsible for supporting Finance managers and Controller with managing accounting functions including accounts payable, treasury, and general ledger. Essential Functions + Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation of assets to the GL in accordance with GAAP. + Prepare and post journal entries for overhead accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications. + Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations and analysis. + Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. + Maintain daily reconciliation of cash activity in the bank vs recorded in the general ledger. + Prepare documentation for external auditors in support of the annual audit + Other related duties as assigned. Competencies + Possess strong analytical skills. + Strong attention to detail. + Excellent mathematical skills to make accurate calculations + Ability to provide accurate information on a timely basis. + Ability to handle high volume workload. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct reports. Work Environment Well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment, or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions. Physical Demands Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to work with the fingers. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Travel This position does not have any travel requirements. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 2-year related experience and/or training. Experience in navigating excel and doing calculations Knowledge of GAAP (general acceptable accountant principles). Knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview Reporting and Sage Fixed Asset Management software preferred. Preferred Education and Experience CPA license (certified public accountant). Public Accounting Experience Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
