Sr. Accountant Position Available In Duval, Florida

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. The ideal candidate will bring extensive accounting expertise and a proven ability to manage financial records with precision. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial processes and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of cash transactions and balances.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures. Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field requiring attention to detail.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Strong expertise in general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the month-end close process efficiently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
