Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end close processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in reconciliations and financial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring data integrity.
- Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting.
- Utilize financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for accounting tasks.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and other regulatory reports.
- Monitor and improve processes to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations. Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail-oriented work.
- Proficiency in account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
