Job Description Staff Accountant - Entry Level 100% on site
- candidate must reside in the Jacksonville, FL area for consideration
- no remote option This position is entry level and designed for recent graduates with one (1) to two (2) years of experience in an accounting position.
The position will work under the supervision of more advanced staff accountants and the Senior Accountant who manage workflow and assign work based on bandwidth available. These assignments are to include but are not limited to: prepares trial balances based on financial records and supporting documentation
prepares construction draws following substantial audit of supporting documents
prepares bank reconciliations as necessary
performs journal entries as assigned
reconciles GL accounts as assigned during period-end close process
assists with production of monthly financial statements for the assigned portfolio
assists with due diligence efforts related to acquisitions and dispositions
assists with preparation of financial records and documents for annual audits
assists with preparation of financial records and documents for use by external tax preparers
communicates with field level managers regarding cost analysis and financial reports
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelors of Accounting from a fully accredited university or college
1 or more years of experience in an accounting position
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office products
Must be detail oriented and capable of working independently
A willingness to learn and a desire to grow
Must be passionate about the accounting industry
