Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level or early-career accounting professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This is a 100% in-office position based in our Jacksonville, Florida location, offering a collaborative and engaging work environment.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE A
Bachelor’s degree specifically in Accounting.
Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including intermediate skills like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Must be able to work full-time in our Jacksonville, FL office.

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactions.
Assist with the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice review and payment processing. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with the preparation for internal and external audits.
Analyze financial data and provide explanations for variances.
Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Contribute to process improvements within the accounting department.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. The essential functions of this role include:
