Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger accounts. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain and update fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and GAAP. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Analyze and interpret financial information to identify discrepancies and variances. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred (internships or entry-level positions acceptable). Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
