Jacksonville, Florida job type: Permanent salary: $55,000 – 65,000 per year work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelor’s degree experience: 1 Years responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings Maintain accurate records for grants, donations, and restricted/unrestricted funds Support budget preparation and forecasting processes in collaboration with program and development teams Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls Assist in payroll processing and benefits reconciliation as needed Provide financial reports and insights to management and board members to support decision-making Collaborate with program staff to ensure proper financial tracking of grant-funded activities qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience; nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar) Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting standards Experience with fund accounting, donor restrictions, and grant compliance High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment CPA or progress toward certification is a plus skills: $100-250 million
