What You’ll Do:
Prepare or assist in preparing business, estate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns (no personal returns) Review financial documents, income statements, and expenditures to determine proper filing strategies Interview clients to understand their financial picture and provide sound tax planning guidance Conduct audits (e.g., homeowner associations) in compliance with Florida standards Use tax software and e-filing systems to enter and review returns accurately Research tax laws as needed to ensure compliance and minimize client liability Communicate proactively with clients to address discrepancies and resolve issues Support internal quality control by reviewing documents and assisting tax prep specialists
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business 2-4 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and professional tax preparation software Experience with nonprofit, estate, partnership, or corporate returns Strong communication skills and attention to detail Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred – if not currently certified, we offer incentive and support toward obtaining it
