Assistant Fiscal Director NU-HOPE Elder Care Services 3530 Office Park Road, Sebring, FL 33870 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Fiscal Director to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Fiscal Director in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and demonstrate exceptional analytical skills to contribute to the overall success of our organization. The right candidate for this position should be a mission-minded individual. This position is intended as a transitional step to the Fiscal Director as part of the retirement strategy for the current director. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to provide insights into organizational performance. Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial data and adherence to accounting principles. Utilize financial software for efficient data management and reporting processes. Perform general ledger reconciliation to maintain integrity in financial records. Support regulatory reporting requirements by ensuring timely submissions and compliance with applicable laws. Management of accounts receivables including, but not limited to, grant invoicing/collection and client co-pay invoicing/collection Management of credit card processing agency wide to include working with the processing vendor, terminals, software and PCI compliance. A minimum of intermediate experience in using Microsoft Office products (emphasis on Excel, Word and Access). Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems. Assist with budgeting for grants and annual agency operating budget Skills Preferably a four-year degree in business management with an emphasis in accounting, an associate’s degree in accounting with two years accounting experience or a minimum of five years of detailed accounting experience. Fund accounting knowledge/experience preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles, including financial management and accounting practices. Proficiency in financial report writing, enabling clear communication of complex information. Experience with corporate accounting processes and regulatory reporting standards. Ability to conduct thorough cash flow analysis for effective financial planning. Familiarity with various financial software tools for reporting and analysis purposes. Excellent attention to detail, particularly in general ledger reconciliation tasks. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and propose actionable solutions. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration across departments.
