Accountant Job Description This position will be responsible for International Trade and Tariffs related to the client’s business line. The role includes preparing and consolidating financial statements, leading monthly close processes, and ensuring accuracy in accounting and reconciliations related to tariffs and reporting. Responsibilities Prepare and consolidate financial statements. Lead monthly close processes, including journal entries. Utilize SAP and Excel for various accounting tasks. Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy. Work cross-functionally with Logistics and Accounting teams to ensure data accuracy. Support international trade-related accounting processes when needed, including tariffs, duty tracking, and brokerage cost analysis. Bridge the gap between accounting and logistics. Research accounting standards and regulatory changes impacting financial reporting. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, especially around financial data accuracy and reporting. Essential Skills Accounting Reconciliation Month-end close processes International trade and finance Tariffs Customs compliance Financial reporting Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years of accounting experience Experience in a manufacturing environment or logistics Exposure to international trade, customs, or tariffs preferred Proficiency in SAP preferred Proficiency in Excel required Work Environment On-site environment at headquarters in Tampa. This is an in-office position with standard working hours.
