Accounts Receivable Accountant 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Plant City, FL 33566 The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for performing detailed reconciliations of customer accounts, analyzing and maintaining the accounts receivable aging report, and managing payment discrepancies. This role will serve as a key liaison between internal departments and customer portals, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of over/short payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience in AR accounting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile customer accounts and resolve outstanding balances Review and research overpayments, short payments, and deductions Utilize customer portals to obtain remittance information and validate payment activity Prepare, maintain, and analyze the accounts receivable aging report to monitor collection efforts Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve AR discrepancies Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable Support audits by providing documentation and account analysis as needed Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance AR efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:
