CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client, a growing organization based here in Tampa, FL, is looking for an impressive Senior Accountant committed to assist them. This is an incredible opportunity for a Senior Accountant professional to aid in alleviating heavy workload within the department while working directly with the Controller. The ideal candidate must be technically strong, fast-paced, and highly committed to drive results!

SALARY/HOURLY RATE

$38/hr

• $45/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant will join a fast-paced Accounting Department, reporting directly to the CFO/Controller and assisting in extensive month-end close and GL maintenance/management. This is a fast paced and high-volume office that provides extensive exposure to the business of brokerage, transportation, and logistics.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Process invoices, payments, and financial statements related to freight forwarding activities.
Monitor and analyze shipping costs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with freight forwarders, carriers, and vendors.
Collaborate with operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

GL Accounting / Public Accounting

• GL, ME close, variance analysis.
  Solid Accountant
• experienced enough to know debits/credits = “doesn’t mean it’s not accurate”.
  Excellent MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)
• put data out of trial balance.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) Experience

• will require a lot of blocking and tackling.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BS in Accounting.
