Oliver James have partnered exclusively with a highly successful, nationwide insurance group who specialise within the P&C Homeowners & Reinsurance sectors. They are a leading organisation within the Florida Insurance market and due to recent growth, they are seeking to hire a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their growing team.
Our client, a renowned leader in the Insurance industry, is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare standard and complex monthly journal entries (i.e. investment, inter-company and elimination entries)
Collaborate with team of associates within and outside the company
Ensures assigned month-end close procedures are completed efficiently and timely (i.e. accruals, bank account, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.)
Review financial statements for variances and provide explanations
Assist with preparation of Form 10-K and 10-Q
Prepare internal financial reports for CFO
Prepare assigned audit work papers
Assist with research and documentation of technical accounting matters
Special projects and other ad hoc duties as assigned (e.g.
XBRL, SEC
reporting, budgeting, etc.)
Requirements
5 years relevant work experience of which 3 years are at a senior accountant level
Big Four experience preferred
Familiar with revenue accounting standards (ASC 606)
Highly proficient in writing technical accounting memos
Expertise in consolidating financial statements
Proficient in end-to-end preparation of financial statements
CPA Qualification preferred
