Job Description:
You Are:
A performance-driven Individual who understands financial information, transactional accounting, and internal controls. You are relationship-oriented and will be responsible for delivering accounting activities out of our Tampa location and interacting with our outsourcing provider, which is in India (working in US hours). You will execute accounting activities in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles, in compliance with government regulations and Pitney Bowes Corporate Accounting policies and meet established service level agreements (SLAs).
You Will:
Prepare accurate and timely journal entries in compliance with company standards and GAAP
Perform monthly close activities including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis
Generate and post customer receivables, intercompany accruals, and reconcile transactions
Record project-related financial transactions
Develop and deliver ad-hoc financial reports and general ledger analysis
Partner closely with the India-based outsourced team to review journal entries, reconciliations, and support month-end close
Drive documentation and improvement of existing accounting processes
Identify opportunities for processing automation and continuous improvement
Adhere to SLAs with internal stakeholders
Support internal and external audits through data preparation and response to auditor requests
Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business
Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
Solid understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting policies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly organized and able to manage high-volume transactional work efficiently
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting systems
Experience with SAP and Hyperion preferred
Compensation:
The wage range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000 per year, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements.
Location:
This is a hybrid role, with 4 days in the Tampa office required (M-Th). This hybrid status may change based on business need. (No relocation assistance offered.)
