Position Overview The Staff Accountant at Propane Ninja plays a vital role in supporting accurate and timely financial operations across the business. This individual will be hands-on in managing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable (AR) Assist with reviewing customer accounts and maintaining accurate AR aging reports Support timely and accurate customer invoicing through Odoo ERP Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Experience teams to resolve billing issues or customer disputes Monitor payment platforms and ensure proper recording of incoming funds Accounts Payable (AP) Process vendor invoices, subcontractor bills, and utilities in a timely manner Track payment terms, flag early payment opportunities, and prepare payment batches Reconcile credit card transactions and employee expense reports General Accounting & Bookkeeping Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit lines, and key general ledger accounts Record journal entries and accruals as part of the month-end close process Maintain fixed asset schedules, lease records, and depreciation logs Assist with inventory-related accounting for tanks and equipment Financial Systems & Reporting Support Help maintain and improve financial workflows in Odoo ERP Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external reporting Assist with audit prep, tax filings, and year-end closing activities Provide backup support for Controller as needed in daily operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Required) 2-4 years of experience in a staff accounting or AP/AR role Familiarity with accounting software (Odoo preferred; QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage a plus) Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and reconciliation best practices Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Preferred Skills (Not Required) Experience in fuel, logistics, construction, or industrial services Knowledge of sales tax compliance or fuel tax reporting Experience with ERP implementations or systems integrations

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
