Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant I to join our team in a professional business office environment. This role involves supporting the financial operations of state and federal student financial aid/loan programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to perform various tasks related to financial disbursements, deposits, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Vouch deposits and disbursements related to state, federal, and student financial aid/loan programs Perform weekly and monthly fund reconciliations Prepare and update financial procedures and training manuals Conduct compliance reviews of nonpublic post-secondary institutions Collaborate and work inter-dependently with team members Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) to manage financial data and reporting
Required Experience & Skills:
Professional business experience Basic accounting knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
