We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experiencedCost Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry.

This role is pivotal in our finance department and will beresponsible for managing and analyzing all costs associated withour manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will beinstrumental in assessing our company’s production costs,inventory, bills of materials, and production variances to help usincrease profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports andcosting audits. Conduct regular physical inventories and monitorcycle count program. Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.

Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparingstandard costs to actual production costs. Review and analyzeinventory and margin reports, conduct research and performanalytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.

Support and assist internal department reporting requirements suchas audit schedules, tax schedules and others. Ensure timelysubmission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross marginschedules to management. Work in special projects as required.

Assist in establishing and implementing inventory policies andprocedures. Perform regular audits of bill of materials to ensureproduct costs are accurate and accounted for properly. Report anddocument any discrepancies. Review production variances to identifyand resolve matters. Prepare periodic reports comparing budgetedcosts to actual costs. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Aminimum of 3 years of experience as a Cost Accountant, CostAnalyst, Accountant or similar role. Comprehensive understanding ofGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles. Proficient in the use ofMS Office and financial management software. Strong attention todetail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.

Analytical mindset with superb communication and problem-solvingskills. Strong time management skills. In-depth understanding ofthe manufacturing industry and its financials. Proven knowledge offinancial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance andinformation analysis. Well informed in current financial subjects,accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments.

Exceptional knowledge of cost accounting and financial managementin the manufacturing sector. Demonstrated experience withinventory, bill of materials, and production variances. CPA or CMAcertification would be considered an asset. This is an excellentopportunity for a seasoned Cost Accountant to contribute to awell-established and growing organization.
