Senior Project Accountant Position Available In Manatee, Florida

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting and accounting functions for various projects, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding project accounting, WIP and revenue recognition. Duties Oversee job cost and account reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation to support AIA invoicing and ensure compliance with generally accepted standards. Maintain general ledger accounting, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Perform balance sheet reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data. Prepare comprehensive financial reports that provide insights into project performance. Analyze project financials to support revenue recognition, work-in-process evaluations, and profitability assessments. Collaborate with project managers to provide financial guidance and support throughout project lifecycles. Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies and procedures while identifying areas for improvement. Experience Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business related Proven experience in job cost, WIP, account reconciliation, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. Strong background in construction, project Accounting to include AIA Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis, demonstrating the ability to interpret complex data. Familiarity with debits and credits, as well as balance sheet management. Experience in corporate accounting practices is highly desirable.
