Sr. Accountant Position Available In Manatee, Florida

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team for an organization committed to operational excellence and financial integrity. This Hybrid position will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic business decisions. The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of GAAP.

Requirements Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform and review general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close procedures. + Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and internal reports. + Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. + Analyze financial data and provide insights to management. + Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation. + Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and GAAP. + Support internal and external audit processes. + Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. + Collaborate with other departments on financial matters and special projects.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred). + 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting. + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar). + Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). + High attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
