Staff Accountant Position Available In Manatee, Florida

Description Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant in Bradenton, FL. This is an onsite, contract to hire opportunity paying up to $70k. Job Duties

• Take an active role in the month end close process which would include reconciling accounts and booking journal entries.
• Own the month end closing process for our smaller entities
• Reconcile monthly VAT for our BV entity
• Reconcile monthly sales and use tax
• Process payroll data, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, wage calculations, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings
• Review and verify payroll reports, making corrections as necessary before final approval
• Calculate and Process Customer Rebates
• Assist Credit Control manager in cash collection activities, posting cash collections, resolving outstanding payments and sending collection statements
• Process invoices for international customers, conduct intercompany billing process
• Prepare Returned Goods Authorization Documentation to submit to Quality for Processing
• Responsible for all aspects of Fixed Asset Accounting, to include maintaining Fixed Asset General Ledger and Sub-Ledger and Tangible Personal Property Tax reporting.
• Ability to spot problems and provide recommendations on how to resolve those problems
• Support Departmental Continuous Improvement Process
• Work on Ad-Hoc Projects as assigned
