Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounts, reconciling data, and improving financial workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial records.
• Manage the general ledger by recording and reviewing financial transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate accounting records.
• Utilize the SharePoint platform to streamline workflows and collaborate effectively.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose solutions. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint platform and workflows.
• Strong understanding of process improvement and implementation techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
