Staff Accountant Position Available In Marion, Florida

Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Ocala, Florida. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations and the ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) transactions with precision.
• Perform detailed bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect current financial activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate accounting practices.
• Execute month-end close procedures and assist in generating financial reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly.
• Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as needed. Requirements
• Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledgers.
• Strong knowledge of preparing journal entries and executing month-end close procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software, including QuickBooks and Sage.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
