PART-TIME Staff Accountant Position Available In Martin, Florida

PART-TIME

Staff Accountant position (25-30/hrs a week)

Responsibilities:

• Record daily cash receipts and perform reconciliations to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment follow-ups.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Calculate and process state sales taxes in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in the monthly closing process, including balance sheet reconciliations and expense analyses.
• Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, including familiarity with general ledger and journal entries.
• Proficiency in accounting and business software, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines.
