The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting and regulatory reporting, with a thorough understanding of GAAP principles. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with financial regulations. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable, and performing general ledger reconciliations. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals. Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash balances. Assist in regulatory reporting and compliance with SOX requirements. Develop forecasts to assist in financial planning and decision-making. Utilize Sage software for accounting functions and reporting. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information. Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience in corporate accounting and regulatory reporting. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation. Experience with general ledger reconciliation processes. Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is preferred. Proficient in accounts payable management. Experience using Sage or similar accounting software is a plus.
