Recruitment Notes This is advanced professional accounting and supervisory work in the application of established accounting principles and methods in the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and control of financial records. Employees in this classification are responsible for managing Special Taxing District Funds by reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling accounting transactions; processing adjustments; approving purchase orders; reviewing expenses for budget alignment; preparing financial reports; and performing the overall administration and reconciliation of these specialized funds. This role involves ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of these distinct funds, which are established to provide specific services and improvements to defined geographic areas within the county. The incumbent will be responsible for the full cycle of accounting, budget compliance, financial reporting, and analysis related to these specialized funds, adhering to Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements and relevant Florida Statutes. The incumbent is expected to provide substantive support and collaboration with the Division’s end of fiscal month closing activities and assist with other assignments as needed.
