The Construction Project Accountant must have the following skills and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Minimum 3 -5 years recent accountant level experience in Construction Accounting Strong familiarity with real estate development and construction project accounting processes Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Timberline Solid knowledge of A1A documentation standards, especially G702 / G703 and lien waivers protocols. Expertise with Yardi and other real estate accounting software is highly preferred Proactive, analytical mindset and a team-first attitude. The Construction Project Accountant will have the following responsibilities and duties : The applicant will be responsible for processing, tracking, and coordinating monthly payments for all construction managers and subcontractors on ground-up development construction projects as well as existing multifamily holdings Responsible for the processing, reviewing, coding, tracking, and general ledger posting of construction draws for multiple projects The applicant will be responsible for preparing and compiling full draw applications to lenders in AIA formats on a monthly basis The applicant will review and enhance the existing system of controls and financial reporting for development and construction projects Interact with internal and external customers, other accounting team members, asset managers, property managers, construction project managers, and all necessary departments to ensure prompt resolution of issues and achieve maximum efficiency of operation Manage the full-cycle accounting process for multiple development and construction projects. Prepare, track, and coordinate monthly payments to construction managers and subcontractors. Review, code, and post all construction draws to the general ledger across various projects. Compile and submit comprehensive draw applications to lenders using

formats. Ensure compliance with lien waivers and payment documentation. Collaborate across departments—construction, asset management, property management, and finance—to resolve issues and streamline operations. Improve and maintain internal controls and reporting systems for construction and development accounting.
