Job Description

Overview:

The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for performing Corporate general ledger account maintenance, transaction processing, and assisting in ensuring consolidated financial reports are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. This role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, Company policy and fulfilling both internal and external requests with a high degree of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs month-end general ledger account reconciliations, reviews, and journal entries to ensure proper classification and timely and accurate accruals and deferrals Assists with periodic preparation of financial reports Provides supporting documentation as requested for annual audits and ad-hoc requests Maintains accounting controls by assessing transactions, preparing, reviewing and recommending improvements to policies and procedures and technical memos Prepares roll-forwards and related analyses for assigned general ledger accounts Prepares weekly Accounts Receivable reports Researches and responds to inquiries from internal team members, management and subsidiaries. Works on process improvement initiatives and related documentation Perform special projects, as required, to assist the department and the Company in achieving its goals and objectives Other duties assigned by

Management Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a public or corporate accounting role required, media industry exposure preferred Must be proficient with NetSuite or similar enterprise software Excellent command of English – both verbal and written Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strong mathematical skills Must be organized, thorough, and able to maintain high quality standards Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications Intermediate or advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP and similar enterprise software Strong time-management skills
