We are looking for a cost accountant with deep understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing costs. The candidate will establish standard costs, and prepare reports for management. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities include:

Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and updates bill of materials. Establishing standard cost and performs costing analysis. Prepares and maintains the bill of materials cost sheet. Calculating Overhead and Labor rates. Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices, margin, and profitability of products. Assisting in implementing and maintaining cost accounting processes and procedures. Analyzing inventory levels, prepares variance analysis, gross margin, and inventory counts. Planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of basic Cost Accounting and MRP concepts. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and applies cost accounting knowledge and financial analysis skills to complex and unstructured problems. Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures. Compiling cost information to be used in operating budget preparation. Reviews production KPI’s such as yields, reconciliations, etc.

Reviews Inventory trends by category:

MRO, RM, WIP, FG, etc. Calculates milk price and estimates milk invoice each month. Prices and costs projections, cheese, butter, milk financials on a monthly basis. Reviews milk handlers and statistical state reports. Following Company safety rules and regulations, GMP’s (good manufacturing practices). Following Company policies and procedures and ensures food safety and quality per

ISO 22000.

education: Bachelors Responsibilities Prepares financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually) in accordance with GAAP. Analyzes financial data (historical records, trends, variances) and advises management. Assists with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Performs statistical analyses and creates narrative reports. Manages and projects cash flow. Determines business costs (raw materials, inventory, labor). Evaluates capital expenditures. Establishes accounts in the Chart of Accounts. Processes credit applications and recommends write-offs. Reviews accounts payable invoices and checks. Handles accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliation. Prepares journal entries and budget forecast reports. Interprets financial data for management, including company financial position. Reviews bookkeeping operations. Monitors GAAP and company SOP compliance. Corrects errors in financial entries and documents. Implements accounting systems and controls. Appraises property and equipment. Updates fixed assets and prepares property tax reports. The essential functions of this role include:
