Job Description

Inventory Accountant Location:

Doral, FL Hybrid role 6 Month Opportunity (Maternity Leave Coverage) The Inventory Accountant will be responsible for maintaining and recording business transactions, reconciling accounts, balancing ledgers, analyzing trends, explaining variances, and preparing schedules and/or reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

Preparing monthly journal entries Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger Monitoring inventory transactions Assist with the monthly closing process Resolve any accounting discrepancies Partner with various departments to ensure full compliance with company policy and procedure in regard to inventory. Assists in quarterly and year-end audits Special projects as required Communicates effectively with senior financial management Performs job with integrity and transparency Utilize good judgment in the execution of job Performs job with integrity and transparency Other duties as assigned

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum Requirements:

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced level in Excel and Word. Proficiency in database applications would be preferred (Visio, Access, etc.) Working experience with GL People Soft is strongly preferred Problem Solving
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations Ability to work under general supervision Understand commonly used accounting and financial concepts and procedures Strong reconciliation and organizational skills Identifies critical issues with ease Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated with ability to work with deadline Travel•up to 10% travel may be required.

Candidate should have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail and solid organization skills are critical to this role. Independent judgment is required to prioritize and organize workload. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple activities simultaneously and independently.
